Stories from Hall of Fame CheerleadersCheering in college is definitely different from cheering in high school. The skills are harder, more advanced, and of course scarier; but when those skills hit, it's the best feeling. College games are bigger with high energy. Cheering in high school taught me how to perform. It taught me to not only respect the other team, the coaches, my teammates, but myself. College cheer is more intense than high school cheer but it pushes me to strive harder for my goals. While I was training at ASMT it taught me to not be afraid of the more difficult skills, that no matter what if I tried I could get those skills and become a better cheerleader. Working at ASMT was such an amazing experience. It showed me that everyone's back story is different but when we step onto that mat, we are one. Coaching there showed me how teamwork can change the dynamic of the team. Being apart of both centennial high school's cheer team for four years and apart of ASMT made me the cheerleader that I am today.
